Dear Ones,

In our last two blogs, we have studied together how all of creation is waiting for us to take our rightful place in Christ and walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.  We are the earth’s manifestation of Christ!  We are the answer to all its dilemmas when we walk as God intended us to walk in the power of His Holy Spirit!  We also studied together that the Word is our lamp and that we can do and say all that God wants us to do and say to accomplish His will as long as we study His Word, His thoughts, His ways and do them.

Today, I would like to join these ideas together for a fuller understanding of how we are to walk in the fullness of Christ and in communion with God through His Word.  Scripture tells us, “that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” (Eph. 4:14-15).  Notice this verse tells us that we will grow up into Him in all things.  Thank you Jesus that you died to provide that for me!!  First, that tells me I will grow up, learn more, know more, become wiser, and avoid the deceptions of men and the uncertainties of earthly doctrines.  Second, I will evermore become more like Him.  Third, I will do that in ALL things, in every area of life in which I dedicate myself to searching out God’s ways – His Word.

In Proverbs 20:27, God tells us, “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” That tells us that God teaches us, talks to us, communes with us, and guides us through our born-again spirit.  That means our spirits are always developing and growing.  That means that God means for them to grow, and we need to grow them up into the things of God to hear His voice.  That is our responsibility.  Your spirit will be trained by the world or trained by God.  We must strengthen our spirits just as diligently as we train and strengthen our minds and our physical bodies.  We can become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that we hear from Him quickly in every issue of life, anytime we need help or an answer; we can hear confidently and receive His perfect will to accomplish His plans in our lives and be His help to those around us.  That is what creation is groaning for (Rom. 8:19, 22).

The way we do that is by meditating in the Word, making the Word (Christ) first place in our lives, and doing what the Word tells us to do.  As you do that, your spirit becomes more sensitive to the Word of God, the voice of the Lord, and you are able to more quickly discern which way God is telling you to move in every area of life.  God gives us so many promises for dwelling and meditating in His Word.  Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  Do you see the promises?  By meditating in His Word, we will do what it says.  That means we will receive wisdom to do what needs to be done, and we will make prosperous and successful decisions!  Psalm 1:2-3 is one of my favorite Scriptures, and it says, “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  Wow!  By meditating in God’s Word day and night, putting the Word first in my life, I am a tree perpetually being fed by the waters of God’s life and light, His power, strength, and wisdom, to bring forth His fruit at the proper time.  Nothing I do according to His Word shall whither or face destruction and be fruitless, and EVERYTHING I do will prosper!  Hallelujah!  What a glorious future we each have, pursuing the things of God in each of our lives, to become all that He desires!

Do you see how we can grow up into His fullness to be a joy and light to all those we touch!  We can be the full manifestation of His Holy Spirit in this world as we studied before (Rom. 8:19).  What a pleasure!  He has given us everything we need for life and godliness to bless this world.  There is no greater joy in life!  The more I am in the Word meditating and making it first place in my life, the more I strengthen my spirit and make it sensitive to quickly and easily hear His call, and then the more I can be the healing salve to the earth’s groaning and travailing!  I will hear Him in my spirit every time, every day, in every situation!  What a blessing!  I will go forth in joy and be led in peace, and I will be His joy and peace to others (Isa. 55:12)!

If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life and desire to, pray this:  Dear God, I believe that Jesus is your Son, that He died on the cross for me and was resurrected for my redemption.  I choose to make Jesus the Lord of my life.  I thank you for forgiving me and for filling me with Your Holy Spirit.  I thank You that I am Your child, that You are my Father, and that You have great things planned for me.  Amen.
