Dear Ones,

Your faith opens the door to all of God’s opportunity in your life.  FAITH.  That subject used to strike terror in my heart when I heard pastors say that people did not receive God’s blessings in their lives because of their lack of faith.  Equally, it would strike terror in my heart when I heard them say, “Do you need healing, prosperity, deliverance, joy, any of the blessings of God in your life?  Just have faith!”  I would always think, “Well God, I believe You, and I know Your Word is true, but what if I don’t have enough faith?”

Over the years, getting to know God, I have gotten rid of those fearful thoughts, those thoughts of inadequacy.  I have realized that God, by His mercy, and according to His Word has given each of us the measure of faith (Rom. 12:3), and that is all we need.  God has given us what we need.  If you are a born again believer, you have the measure of faith you need to stand on God’s Word and overcome every difficulty.  Perhaps all you need to do is develop that faith.

Faith is not something that’s difficult to understand or develop.  It is simply finding your hope or your answer in the Scripture, and no matter what things look like in the natural, standing on the Word of God (Eph. 6:13).  Does it mean you will never have a doubtful thought?  Does it mean you will never have a fearful thought?  No.  That is what I used to think.  Now, I realize that the devil will always be around trying to give us fearful and doubtful thoughts.  Faith answers the fearful or doubtful thought with God’s Word.  Just because you have a questionable thought, it does not mean you cannot receive your answer.  Combat every fearful or doubtful thought with the Word.  The Word tells us to cast down every evil imagination that exalts itself against the Word of God with a truth from the Word (2 Cor. 10:5).  Just find out what the Word says, and stand on it.  We fight the negative ideas that come into our head by replacing them with God’s thoughts.  God’s thoughts are His Word to us in the Scripture.  So, if you are in a fight, or you are believing for a particular need, read the Word, confess the Word out loud to yourself, and continue to do that until faith rises up strong in your heart.  As you read and confess the Word out loud to yourself, your thoughts will come in line with God’s truth.  As you meditate on the Word, your heart becomes firmly planted believing in the Lordship of Jesus Christ over every difficulty, over every scheme of the devil (Rom. 10:9).  You will not be moved by the obstacles you see or experience in the natural because as you plant the Word in your spirit, your faith will grow, and you will stand strong on the truth of God’s Word.  You will not be moved by the circumstances around you that don’t necessarily line up with the Word.  As you continue to meditate on God’s Word, your faith increases and grows stronger, and since God’s Word does not return to Him void without accomplishing what He says it will accomplish (Isaiah 55:11), you will see your answer come to pass.

The Scripture says that it is our faith in God that causes us to overcome the world (1 John 5:4).  Faith is simple.  It is just finding God’s truth, God’s promise to us in His Word, and taking God at His Word.  It is just believing with your heart that God is Who He says He is, and He will do what He says He will do.  It is a done deal.  Just let God be God.  You don’t have to make the answer you’re looking for happen.  You just have to believe God, and let Him do what He has already promised, what He has already accomplished for you through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Stand on the Word, and your faith will bring all of God’s best into your life,

Lisa Marie

If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life and desire to, pray this:  Dear God, I believe that Jesus is your Son, that He died on the cross for me and was resurrected for my redemption.  I choose to make Jesus the Lord of my life.  I thank you for forgiving me and for filling me with Your Holy Spirit.  I thank You that I am Your child, that You are my Father, and that You have great things planned for me.  Amen.
